His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Rashid Adetoyese Jayeola Ill, The OnaOnibode of Igboho conveyed his heartfelt condolences with all the bereaved families in the unfortunate tragedy that happened in Ibadan, Oyo State and here are his words:

"Expectedly we are in the season for celebrations but the sad news of this monumental tragedy that have befallen Oyo State is an absolute monumental loss where the lives of our expected future leaders of tomorrow were lost in a very large number in one day in the ancient city of Ibadan at an event organised for them. This tragedy can be said to be the worst that have ever bedeviled the entire Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole."

He further added

"On behalf of the good people of Igboho at home and in the diaspora, I, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Rashid Anikulapo Jayeola III, The OnaOnibode of Igboho with a very heavy heart condole with All Oyo State people, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, all the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy, Olori Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat (Agidigbo FM) and all the organisers of this event on the occasion of this  monumental tragedy, may Allah receive all these our loved ones whose lives have been cut short into Aljanah Firdaus."
