Today at the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo at the Agbala Ogun court where the interview of the princes who are vying for the vacant stool of the Alaafin continues. As at today, an estimated 41 candidates have been invited and we have 39 candidates who have shown up for the interview. The number of candidates expected for the interview is 86 princes from the ruling houses.

The interview of the 7th of September, 2022 was 13 candidates instead of 10 and as such today the invitation was for 8 candidates and only 6 showed up for the interview. There would be no interview for tomorrow Friday and the interview continues on Monday the 11th of September, 2022.

The search for the new Alaafin of Oyo continue for the prince that would replace Alaafin Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III. That is the update for day 4 of the interview for the Alaafin of Oyo. As at the time of this report, the interview process is over.
